Chennai: Skipper Pradosh Ranjan Paul struck an unbeaten 173 as Tamilnadu got the better of Mumbai by three wickets in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy Under-19 Elite Group A contest at the Scindia School Cricket Ground in Gwalior.
Batting first, Mumbai made a challenging total of 321 for six in its stipulated overs. Divyansh Saxena (104) and Vedant Murkar (75) were its chief contributors, while Atharva Ankolekar (50 not out) struck a half-century. Chasing a tough target, southpaw Pradosh was in the zone, taking Mumbai bowlers to the cleaners.
His 124-ball innings was studded with 22 fours and four maximums as Tamil Nadu reached home with seven balls to spare. RS Mokit Hariharan chipped in with 61 runs.
