Chennai: “I am lucky to get good offers come my way in south film industry. Will be delighted if I get opportunity to work with the likes of Rajinikanth, Ajith, Dhanush and Vijay,” says actress Digangana Suryavanshi.
Having started her acting career in small screen, she saw two of her Bollywood movies releasing on the same day. Digangana made all heads turn and look at her with a wonderful performance in Telugu blockbuster Hippi. She is now part of a comedy caper in Tamil titled Dhanusu Rasi Neyargale. Directed by Sanjay Bharathi, it features Harish Kalyan in the lead.
Speaking to News Today, Digangana Suryavanshi, says, “Dhanusu Rasi … is a wonderful project. I am thrilled to be part of the movie. My role has come good.”
Asked about her journey in south cinema so far, she says, “They are passionate about movies. We can see a lot of talented technicians. I was pleasantly surprised to see such a warm reception fore her. I want to do quality movies and entertain them.”
Asked about producer Kalaipuli S Thanu’s compliment that she is the next J Jayalalithaa in film industry, Digangana says, “It was one of the greatest moments in my life. Remember Thanu sir was the first person to call Rajinikanth as superstar. To receive such a compliment from him was a great blessing.”
How do you compare south film industry with Bollywood? She says, “Both are very professional. I just see only the language as different. We are coming with quality films a lot. The likes of Baahubali has won India name and fame globally.”
“I want to do quality projects and keep winning hearts if people,” she adds.
