Cook-off held in Chennai

Chennai: ITC’s Aashirvaad, hosted the eleventh edition of state-level cook-off competition in various cities and finale was held in Chennai recently. It was attended by Chef Damodaran, Radhika Sarathkumar, Hina Gujral and Aarthi Satheesh. This year’s competition witnessed participation from 15000 women and had a wide array of 1300 plus tasty recipes made from Aashirvaad Atta.

The top 27 contestants were selected for finale and Ilaveni from Pondicherry won the cook-off competition, first runner up was Gayathri Ashok from Erode and second runner up was Vijaya Geetha from Chennai.

Speaking about the campaign, divisional chief executive (Foods), ITC Ltd, Hemant Malik, said, “Atta is a very versatile kitchen ingredient and a lot of exciting and tasty dishes can be made from it. Our campaign initiatives are focused on helping the homemaker realise this versatility through newer and tastier experiences for the family. An empty plate and a fuller tummy is a testament of that experience and we are very happy that thousands of homemakers in Tamilnadu are joining our bandwagon in bringing out their innovative recipes through this cook-off.”

Chef Damodaran said, “I am delighted to be a part of this campaign yet again and thankful to Aashirvaad Atta for their thoughtful initiative. It was an amazing experience to see the talent at display here.”
