Founder of Oasys honoured by Confederation of Indian Industry

Chennai: KR Ilanghovan, founder and managing director of Oasys Cybernetics Pvt Ltd (OASYS), a technology solutions firm was recently endowed with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) CONNECT 2019 Award for Entrepreneur of the Year 2019 for his notable contribution to Digital India Mission.

CII hosted the 18th edition of the International conference and exhibition held in Chennai. According to a press release, CII CONNECT 2019 was chaired by Tamilnadu IT minister Udaya Kumar, IAS officers and other dignitaries from various government departments.

A statement from the company said, KR Ilanghovan is an educationist and a first generation entrepreneur WHO founded Oasys Cybernetics Pvt Ltd, a Rs 2.7 billion conglomerate with more than 2,000 professionals operating across India. Ilanghovan diversified Oasys from an energy management company to a market-leading IT Solution Provider, the statement added.

Oasys is now one of the major e-governance system integrators, providing end to end solutions through public distribution systems digitisation in different states, self-help groups automation under NABARD, fertilizer outlets automation PAN India, ERP application for textile department and in healthcare automation, the statement said. Oasys caters to nearly 24 crore citizens of rural and urban India. The company has entered AI, Blockchain, Cybersecurity and Quantum Analytics with an initiation to implement in e-governance projects. Oasys’ aims to favour Digital India through One Stop Solution (OSS) by providing assisted digital services. The statement noted, OSS is with vision to provide employment, empowerment, digital economy and livelihood enhancement to citizens.
