Chennai: DMK president M K Stalin along with his wife Durga and senior party leaders Ku Ka Selvam and R S Bharathy left for Andaman this morning.

During his two days stay at the Union Territroy, Stalin will take part in the marriage of a party functionary. He will also be inaugurating a statue of his father and former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi.

Meanwhile, the DMK members staged a walk out in the Assembly today as a representation given by them to pass a resolution against CAA was not taken up.

Raising the issue during the zero hour, Deputy Leader of Assembly, Durai Murugan said, ”before the beginning of the session, we gave a representation to pass a resolution against CAA. The Speaker said it is under his consideration, will it be taken up today?.”

Responding to this, Speaker P Dhanapal said that the representation was still under his consideration.

Durai Murugan said since today was the last day of the ongoing session, he was not satisfied with the answer of the Speaker and staged a walkout along with the DMK MLAs.
