“Pattas” is for family audience

Pattas is grounded with introducing the Tamil martial art Adimurai with a tinge of commercial elements added to it. It will entertain the family audience”, says producers T G Thyagarajan and Sendhil Thyagarajan.

Pattas starring Dhanush will hit the screens on 15 January. Directed by Durai Senthilkumar, the movie has Sneha, Mehreen Pirzada in the lead roles and Naveen Chandra as the antagonist. The film features music composed by Vivek-Mervin. Says the producers, “Adimurai is a martial art, tracing its ancestry to Tamilnadu, which the State failed to protect. The martial art will completely pervade the scenes towards the climax”.

Dhanush, entrusted with the character of Adimurai preceptor, was trained by Selvaraj, a practitioner of Adimurai from Kanyakumari. The duo says that this movie might bring the desired recognition to the art after the release. The title for the movie is reasoned with Dhanush’s zestful character in the flick.

Dhanush plays a dual role in Pattas. Sneha is paired up with father Dhanush. The producers say, “Pattas has been certified with U and will hit 1500 screens”. Sathya Jyothi Films is certain with “No to adult content and brutal violence movies’ and we work towards accomplishing people’s trust that movies under our banner are worth watching, they add. Sathyajothi Films is planning a couple of more movies with Dhanush that includes one to be directed by Ram Kumar.
