Chennai: Tata Motors launched Altroz here in Chennai on 23 January. The car was unveiled by president of Tata Motors, Mayank Pareek in the presence of zonal manager for south Tata Motors, Suraj Subbrao and head of marketing – cars, Tata Motors, Ravindra Jain. The auto giant in a statement said that Altroz is designed ‘keeping the demands of the younger generation in mind who want to feel the touch of the gold standard’.
The company claims the car provides better driving dynamics, cockpit inspired interiors, pro-artificial intelligence, advanced GPS, and BS-VI certified engine – available in both petrol and diesel variants. It features ‘ALFA’ architecture, GNCAP five star ratings in safety. Other features includes serene blue mood lighting, rear AC vents and 345 litres boot space.
‘Drivers can enjoy the multi-functional flat base steering wheel, which is light and easy to handle, Dual Air bags, ABS, EBS – CSC as standard safety promises refined driving dynamics and lower fuel emissions,’ the company said. Variants of Petrol and Diesel starts from Rs 5.29 lakh and Rs 6.99 Lakh.
