Chennai: State Health Minister Vijayabaskar today said that the government has taken all preventive measures to prevent coronavirus outbreak in Tamilnadu.
Following the National Institute of Virology, Pune, a research centre to screen Coronavirus is being set up in Chennai, the Minister added.
Vijayabaskar further stated that there have been no symptoms detected in travellers who flew down to the State from China. Reports stated that 78 persons, who recently returned from China to Tamilnadu, have been quarantined.
Meanwhile, a man who recently returned to Thiruvannamalai from China has been admitted to a hospital with fever and cold. Tests were being conducted to find out whether he was affected with coronavirus.
