Chennai: The Tamilnadu Assembly will meet on 9 March. A notification regarding this was made by Assembly Secretary K Srinivasan today.
The notification said the demand of grants of each department will be presented during this session. It may be noted that the Budget for 2020-2021 was tabled by Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam in the House on 14 February.
The session continued till 20 February and was adjourned sine die. This is the last full year budget of the present AIADMK government.
Panneerselvam said Tamilnadu achieved growth of 8.17 per cent in 2018-19. He added that Tamilnadu will grow at 7.27 per cent for the 2020-21 fiscal. The AIADMK government will complete its term in May 2021.
