Chennai: Vels Vidyashram defeated St. Johns Public School in the final of the CDCA Inter school T20 Tournament, held at Sumangali Cricket Grounds, here to clinch the winners trophy.
Batting first, St John’s Public School were all out after scoring 107 in 22.5 overs with Aravind and Deepak Raghavendra from Vels Vidyashram scalping three wickets each. Chasing the low score, S Sreeman scored an unbeaten 44 as he helped his team chase down the target in just 15.1 overs and four wickets to spare.
The Winner Trophy was handed over by President, CDCA and owner of TNPL team Salem Spartans, M.Selvakumar.
