Rajinikanth starrer Annaatthe, bankrolled by Sun Pictures and directed by Siruthai Siva, is fast progressing. Buzz is that popular Telugu actor Gopichand has been approached to play the antagonist in the film.
If Gopichand comes on board, then it will be his comeback of sorts in Kollywood. He made his debut in Tamil with Jayam Ravi’s Jayam, which released in 2002. The actor is currently shooting for a Telugu sports-drama titled Seetimaarr, directed by Sampath Nandi.
Annaatthe also features stars like Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Meena and Khushbhu in important roles. There are also speculations that Keerthy Suresh will play Rajinikanth’s sister in the film while Meena will be playing his romantic interest. D Imman scores music.
