Chennai: Home appliances brand USHA recently launched new collection of electronics in Chennai. The company plans to charter new growth strategy for southern states including Tamilnadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The new range of products includes a wide stock from mixers to grinders, and gas stoves to sandwich toasters, among others. Customers can avail lifetime free service on gas stoves. They also offer five year warranty on select products.
When News Today posed a question regarding its growth strategy in Tamilnadu, president of USHA, Saurabh Baisakhia said, ‘No one size fits all strategy, one needs to be local in strategy making.’ He added, ‘We export are products like fan, sewing machines to Sri Lanka. We plan to invest Rs 25 crore in the next few years.’ When asked about its opinion on entering the AC segment, Saurabh said they have no plans as of yet.
According to the company, it claims to have a market share of five per cent in the home appliances segment and aims to make it to 25 per cent. The company is expanding its range of coolers in the market. USHA has tied-up with actress Keerthi Suresh for brand marketing and promotion. They also have Narain Karthikeyan as their brand ambassador for the racer fans.
