Chennai, Mar 16: She is master of all trades. Her motivational talks have inspired many. Anna Nagar resident, S Marceline, an entrepreneur, social worker, orator and a radio jockey says, ”We should be of some use to the society. I want to do my best to ensure all is well for all”.
Speaking to News Today, Marceline, assistant professor of public administration at Anna Aadarsh College for Women says, ”My goal is to provide valuable ideas to improve the standard of living of all”.
”I am the president of COWE (Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs), a forum to encourage first generation entrepreneurs. It is a professional and technical platform for aspiring women entrepreneurs. It facilitates to enhance skills. Expert mentors provides network with State, National banks, MSME / NSIC network at State, District, National-levels to make dreams of entrepreneur come true. Women who are interested in cooking, terrace gardening, preparing herbal products, soap, idly powder seek financial support and marketing ideas from us. With the support of other members, I also organise exhibition at important places to market their products”.
”I am the founder of Her Voice Foundation, which educates, empowers and encourages women. We support transgender women to open food shops for their livelihood. We support for their education too. I am also supporting NGOs that champion the cause of waste management, planting saplings wherever needed. I am also spreading awareness among students in schools and colleges to keep water for birds and animals during summer”.
Marceline is also a popular emcee. ”I compered several social events, audio and book release events and corporate functions. As a RJ (Radio Jockey) in Tamilkushi FM, I hosted 100 episodes of Kaathal Siraghugal, Ullasa Ullagham and Facebook Galatta. As a VJ (Video Jockey) of Tamilan TV, I hosted a show called Anbendra Mazayiley to create awareness on taking care of old parents and not send them to old age homes”.
”I also provide counselling to the needy and depressed and help them celebrate their loves. I make them think what they are blessed with rather than what they lack in their life. One of my nephew met with an accident and was declared brain dead. His family came forward to donate his organs. Totally eight organs were given to needy ones. After this incident, I am addressing public meetings to propagate the need for organ donation”.
