DMK MPs, MLAs to donate salary for workers hit by COVID

Chennai: The Opposition DMK Members of Parliament and MLAs would donate their one month’s salary for the welfare of the
unorganised sector workers who were affected by the coronavirus outbreak.

In a statement here, DMK President M K Stalin, who is also the Leader of the Opposition in the Tamil Nadu Assembly, said all
the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha members and his party MLAs would donate their one month’s salary to the Chief Minister’s Relief
Fund to assist the livelihood of the unorganised sector workers.

He also urged the State government to allocate adequate funds for the workers to protect their welfare, while urging the
industrialists and businessmen to involve themselves in this humanitarian gesture.
