Chennai: Amid a death and rising cases (23) and Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami appealing to follow social distancing, it was heartening to note that one of the patients tested positive for coronavirus was all set to be discharged form the hospital after treatment in Tamilnadu.
The patient, who travelled from Delhi and undergoing treatment at the Rajiv Gandi Government General Hospital (RGGGH) has tested negative after two mandatory tests and was revoering well.
He will be discharged in two days, marking the second positive tested patient to go home after a person from Kancheepuram who was confirmed positive, was discharged recently.
Health Minister Dr C Vijayabaskar tweeted ”TN’s second positive case for corona who traveled from Delhi & undergoing treatment in #RGGH is recovering well. He is declared corona negative after two subsequent mandatory tests. He will be discharged in 2 days.”
The Minister also visited Tiruvallur district, met with District Administration and assessed the preparedness in the district for Corona. ”Precautionary & lockdown measures are handled well”, he added.
