Royapuram bounces back to top with increasing Covid-19 numbers

Chennai: The neighbourhood of Royapuram is back on the top of Chennai’s coronavirus meter with 676 persons undergoing treatment. In the past few days, it was showing considerably low numbers only to return with a surge.

This morning, the city has 3,839 cases of Coronavirus, said the Greater Chennai Corporation.

Royapuram is followed by Kodambakkam with 630 Covid-19 positive patients and Thiru-Vi-Ka Nagar with 556 persons contracting the infection.

A press release showing the area-wise break up Covid-19 numbers in the city stated that there are nine zones with tripple digit number of patients.

Teynampet has 412 patients, Valsaravakkam with 319 persons, Anna Nagar has 301 patients, Ambattur has 205 Coronavirus patients, Tondiarpet has 274 patients and Adyar has 175 infected persons.

Unlike the initial days’ graph, there is no locality with single digit Covid-19 numbers. 84 persons in Thiruvanmiyur have the infection, Manali has 42 patients, Madhavaram has 54 persons with the infection, Perungudi has 36, Alandur has 29 patients and Sholinganallur has 28 persons with coronavirus.
