Chennai: Two staff members have reportedly tested positive for coronavirus on Friday.
An IIT-Madras spokesperson said, “We are following the quarantine /isolation protocols of the Greater Chennai Corporation as done in Chennai city.”
“The government authorities have also been informed, and they are monitoring the situation”, the spokesperson said.
Meanwhile, IIT-M sources said all staff members were advised to take precautions by wearing face masks, use of sanitisers and washing their hands with soaps at regular intervals to keep corona at bay.
Sources said disinfectant was also being sprayed at the campus to control the spread.
