Karthik Subbaraj higged limelight after his Petta, which had Rajinikanth in the lead role, won huge appreciations from audience as well as the critics. The film also marked Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Tamil debut.
Sources that Karthik Subbaraj will be directing Chiyaan Vikram’s 60th film and it will be produced by Seven Screen Studio. An official announcement will be made post the lockdown.The film is said to be a gangster drama which will be majorly shot in and around Chennai.
The cast and crew of the film is yet to be finalised.
Meanwhile, Karthik Subbaraj’s Jagamae Thanthiram was supposed to hit the screens in May. However, the makers postponed the film due to the novel coronavirus crisis. They even released a poster recently, which bore the words, Coming soon to cinema after jagam (world in English) heals.
The film features Dhanush, James Cosmo of Game of Thrones fame and Aishwarya Lekshmi in the lead roles.
Vikram recently completed shooting for his upcoming film, Cobra, in which he will be sporting 25 different looks.
