Chennai: State School Education Minister K A Sengottaiyan today said 10th standard students residing in containment areas will be taken in spearate vans to attend the board exams.
He said they will be made to take the exam in a separate room. “Once they finish the exam they will be dropped back at home in the same vehicle,” he said and added that containment areas are being identified with the help of Health Department officials.
The exams which were scheduled to begin on 1 June were pushed to 15 June. The education department said that the exams will go on till 25 June.
According to the new schedule, Language, English, Mathematics, Optional Language, Science, Social Science and Vocational exams will be held on 15,17,19,20,22,24 and 25 June, respectively.
