Chennai’s Covid count crosses 25,000

Chennai: The number of Covid-19 cases in Chennai saw a spike by crossing 25,000 today.

A press release from Greater Chennai City Corporation shows an area-wise break up of Covid-19 figures.

The most risky region, Royapuram has 4,192 cases, followed by Tondiarpet standing at 3,192. Another area, Teynampet showed an increase in numbers with 2,846 cases. Kodambakkam, another red zone area has 2,656 cases.

Thiru-Vi-Ka Nagar, a containment zone, has hit a mark of 2,351 cases. In Anna Nagar, 2,178 had tested positive for the viral infection. Adyar has 1,411 cases of Covid-19.

There are a total of 1,136 Covid positive persons in Valsaravakkam, 848 cases in Ambattur and 934 patients in Thiruvottiyur. There are 682 patients in Madharavam, 483 in Alandur and 450 in Perungudi and 435 Covid-19 in Shollinganallur. Manali has the least number of cases with 362 patients.
