Chennai: Tamilnadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, who will attend a video conference with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 17 June, will meet the State’s medical experts team before that to get their inputs.
According to sources, based on the suggestions given by the team at the meeting to be held at the Secretariat early next week, he would discuss some crucial issues with the PM, on the present Covid-19 situation in the State.
Narendra Modi will interact with Chief Ministers of all States and Union Territories via video conferencing on 16 and 17 June (Tuesday and Wednesday) amid the ongoing fifth phase of the lockdown, which will end on 30 June, according to media reports.
The Prime Minister is likely to hold fresh round of consultation with Chief Ministers next week as the country gradually emerges out of coronavirus-induced lockdown.
As per a notification, the Chief Ministers have been grouped into two categories. While the first group will interact with Modi on 16 June, the Prime Minister will entertain the second group on 17 June. On both of these days, the video-conference will begin at 3 pm, it is learnt.
