Chennai’s crucial Covid numbers

Chennai: The city has hit a mark of 34,245 cases of Covid-19, with the neighbourhood of Royapuram accounting for 5,486 cases. The causalities in Chennai is reportedly 422.

Number of persons undergoing treatment in hospitals is 15,257 and as many as 18,565 have recovered.

All the zones are showing good recovery rate. In Royapuram, 3,296 patients have been discharged from the hospital.

A press release from the Greater Chennai Corporation showing an area-wise break up shows Tondiarpet as the second highest containment zone with 4,370 cases. Another red zone, Teynampet has recorded 4,143 persons testing positive.

Kodambakkam, which too is a red zone, has 3, 648 cases and the neighbourhood of Anna Nagar has 3,431 Covid-19 cases.

The figures at Thiru-Vi-Ka Nagar stand at 3,041. Adyar has 1,931 cases of Covid-19. There are a total of 1,444 Covid positive persons in Valsaravakkam, 1,258 cases in Ambattur and 1,258 patients in Thiruvotriyur.

There are 922 patients in Madharavam, 699 in Alandur and 646 in Perungudi and 639 Covid-19 patients in Shollinganallur. Manali has the least number of cases with 483 patients currently.
