Tamilnadu Ministers undergo corona test

Chennai: As Higher Education Minister K P Anbazhagan has been reportedly tested positive for Covid-19, around half a dozen Ministers in Tamilnadu have undergone test for coronavirus as a precautionary measure.

According to sources, not just Ministers, but higher officials and employees of Ministers and bureaucrats have also undergone Covid-19 test.

Meanwhile, Anbazhagan was quoted as saying in some Tamil TV channels that he had not tested positive. He said he was admitted to the hospital for ordinary fever only and that he was fine.

Union Minister for Human Resource Development Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has wished speedy recovery of Anbazhagan.

“Just got to know that Shri @KPAnbalaganoffl has tested positive for Covid-19! I sincerely wish and pray to the God almighty for his speedy recovery. Hoping he gets healthy and well soon,” he tweeted.

DMK president and Leader of Opposition in the State Assembly, M K Stalin wished him speedy recovery. In a tweet, Stalin said he spoke to the Minister over phone and enquired about his health condition after coming to know that he was infected with coronavirus.

“I wish him speedy recovery and should come back soon to serve the people”, he added. He also advised all those in public life to take all precautionary measures.
