64% patients recover from Covid in Chennai

Chennai: The rampant spread of Covid-19 cases has declined marginally in Chennai. Currently, the active cases stand at 24,052 (34 per cent).

Nearly, 44,882 (64 per cent) persons have recovered from the viral infection. Only three places in the city have more than 2,000 coronavirus cases. The death toll stands at 1,082, that is 1.55 per cent.

It is reported that 29 persons have died since yesterday, of which ten patients were admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Government hospital. Seven deaths were reported at Omandurar Government Hospital and Government Stanley Hospital, respectively.

Four patients passed away at Government Kilpauk Hospital and one person died at a private hospital in Chetpet.
