Chennai: The Tamilnadu government has announced six-day work week for its employees.
An order issued by Principal Secretary Hans Raj Verma said that all government employees should be in office before 10.30 am.
“A report about the arrival of the employees should be submitted at the Employees and Administrative Reforms department everyday,” the circular added.
It further said the decision has been taken to ensure the completion of pending files.
It is to be noted that many government offices were closed during the lockdown to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Though the offices were reopened recently, they functioned with less number of staff members.
Now that the unlock process is on, the government and other sectors are slowly getting back to regular operations.
