Rajasthan Speaker issues notice to Sachin Pilot, other rebel MLAs

Chennai: Amid the political crisis in the State, Rajasthan Speaker C P Joshi’s office has issued notice to rebel MLAs including sacked Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot seeking their reply by 17 July.

It is to be noted that Congress chief whip Mahesh Joshi had petitioned Speaker C P Joshi for disqualification of rebel MLAs yesterday.

Meanwhile, today, Sachin Pilot reiterated that he’s not joining BJP. “Some leaders in Rajasthan trying to fuel speculation that I am joining BJP but I am not doing so. I have worked very hard to bring Congress back in govt in Rajasthan,” Pilot said.

He added: “I have worked very hard to bring Congress back in govt in Rajasthan.”

Meanwhile, All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary and party in-charge for Rajasthan Avinash Pande dissolved all cells and departments of the state party unit.

Taking to Twitter, Pandey announced the decision late on Tuesday night. In another tweet, he said that no congressmen will communicate with the media without the permission of newly appointed Rajasthan Congress president Govind Singh Dotasara.
