Chennai: Tamilnadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami today laid the foundation stone for a mega water development scheme in Tiruttani. The scheme will be implemented at a cost of Rs 109.68 crore.
He also inaugurated buildings constructed in Greater Chennai Corporation limit at a cost of Rs 18.24 crore via video conferencing from the Secretariat. Ministers and senior officials were present during the events.
He also launched the distribution of free face masks for ration card holders at fair price shops in the State.
To mark the launch of the scheme he handed over face masks to five persons at the Secretariat in Chennai. In the first phase 69.90 lakh families in Panchayats, Municipalities and Corporations (except Greater Chennai Corporation) will receive two reusable masks for each person in ration card.
