Covid-19 vaccines will soon reach people: Modi

New Delhi: “Today three vaccines are in testing stages in India. As soon as the scientists give a green signal, the country will begin their large scale production and it will soon reach the people,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said.

Speaking at the Red Fort on Independence Day, he said the strategy to ensure that coronavirus vaccine reaches every Indian in the least possible time is ready.

“India will start mass production of vaccines once we get a green signal from scientists,” he said and added that health sector has taught us the biggest lesson in Aatma Nirbhar Bharat.

He extended his greeting to all Indians on the 74th Independence Day before hoisting the tricolour from the ramparts of the Red Fort in Delhi.

“Happy Independence Day to all fellow Indians. Jai Hind!” Modi posted on Twitter minutes before his speech at the Red Fort.
