Chennai: NABARD Chairman G R Chintala would hold discussions with Tamilnadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on rural infrastructure development in the State on 17 September.
Chintala would be on a four-day visit to the State from today. During his meeting with the Chief Minister, Chintala, apart from discussing about rural infrastructure development, would also discuss about strengthening the co-operative credit structure, credit intensification, promotion and support to Farmers Producers Organisations (FPOs), digitisation of Self Help Groups (SHGs) and computerisation of Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS).
Today, he would interact with the members of Farmers Producers Company promoted by SEEDS NGO in Virudhunagar district, a NABARD release said here.
On 16 September, Chintala will inaugurate the administrative building of Madurai Agri Business Incubation Forum (MABIF), lay the foundation stone for the Industrial shed at MABIF, Madurai and will launch Pilot Block Chain project by MABIF.
He would also participate in the All India Digital Conclave on Start-Ups. On 18 September, Chintala will be meeting senior officials of the State government, major bankers, including the State Cooperative Bank and Regional Rural Bank and Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs) on various business development initiatives of NABARD.
This is the first visit of Dr Chintala to Tamilnadu after becoming the Chairman of NABARD and would be accorded the ‘State Guest’ honour by the Tamilnadu government.
