New Delhi: DMK MPs called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi today and handed over a letter by their party supremo M K Stalin.
Speaking to reporters after meeting the PM, DMK leader T R Baalu said, ‘Stalin has penned a letter to the PM requesting him to not allow Karnataka to build dam over Mekedatu. We presented it to him.’
Baalu added that Modi has assured that the interests of Tamilnadu would be protected and the Centre would not take any decision that is harmful to TN.
He accused Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami of not taking up the matter with the PM till now. Baalu was accompanied by DMK MPs Tiruchi Siva and Kanimozhi.
