Mumbai: The NCB is likely to summon actor Deepika Padukone, as part of its larger investigation into the supply and use of drugs in Bollywood.
NCB sources, according to reports, stated that some of these chats were purportedly between Deepika Padukone’s manager Karishma Prakash and one ‘D’.
Deepika Padukone’s name emerges in one of the WhatsApp chats where the actor is allegedly asking for ‘maal, hash’ from a certain person ‘K’. Meanwhile, Deepika’s manager Karishma Prakash has been summoned by NCB for questioning.
Narcotics Control Bureau summoned Karishma Prakash as well as Kwan CEO Dhruv Chitgopekar, for questioning on Tuesday. While Prakash sought exemption on grounds of ill health and said will join the probe on 25 September, Chitgopekar arrived for questioning in the afternoon.
