Chennai: Members of Tamil Film Theatres Association today called on Chief Minister Edppadi K Palaniswami at his residence here. They held discussions on re-opening of theatres across the State post Covid-19.
Addressing mediapersons after the meeting, ‘Rohini’ Panneerselvam, secretary of the association, said, ‘It was briefed to us that since there are air-condition facilities available in theatres, no decision on re-opening them was taken up by the Chief Minister. We were informed that a decision would be taken up only after meeting with the health experts on 28 October’.
They also condoled the demise of the CM’s mother on the occasion. She passed away last weel in her native.
Among those who were present today included ‘Abirami’ Ramanathan, Rakki theatre owner Hari, Woodlands theatre’s Venkatesh, Vellore Srinivasan among others.
