Chennai: The Prince of Arcot, Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali, called on Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami at the latter’s residence Tuesday evening to pay his condolences on the passing away of Palaniswami’s mother Thavusayammal recently.
He paid his tributes to a portrait of the deceased, placed at the Chief Minister’s residence.
The Prince of Arcot expressed his deepest sympathy to Palaniswami and other members of his family, on the demise of his mother and said, “I can well appreciate what a great loss this must be to you, at this hour of grief. We hope that time will soon heal this sorrow.”
Tamilnadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit visited Palaniswami in Chennai on Monday evening. He called on him to convey condolences over the recent death of Palaniswami’s mother.
Earlier in the day, Opposition DMK president M K Stalin, BJP State unit president Murugan and other leaders and film personalities called on Palaniswami and personally offered their condolences.
