TN Governor, CM greet people on eve of Ayudha Pooja

Chennai: Tamilnadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit, Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and other leaders of the State have greeted people on account of Ayudha Pooja and Vijaya Dasami.

In his message, the Governor said, “On the auspicious occasion of Ayudha Pooja and Vijayadasami, I extend my warm greetings and good wishes to the people of Tamil Nadu. Ayudha Pooja is celebrated all over Tamil Nadu with festivity and joy to mark the triumph of the forces of goodness over the forces of evil. The concept of Durga as the protector of the human race is embodied in the celebrations of Navarathri, during these days we narrate hymns on her victory over the evil forces. Tenth day is celebrated as Vijayadasami all over the country in various forms to commemorate the victories of Lord Ram and Goddess Durga. The celebrations are an inspiration for all of us to follow the path of righteousness.”

“May this Vijayadasami herald the arrival of renewed energy in our lives so that we may persevere in upholding the virtues of truth, goodness, honesty and experience unprecedented prosperity. May this festival bring peace, harmony, happiness and good health in our State and Nation.”

The Chief Minister said in his message that Navarathri is celebrated by worshipping Goddesses Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswathi. “Ayudha Pooja and Vijay Dasami are the highlights of Navarathri. I wish everyone a happy, prosperous and healthy life,” he added.
