New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has slammed Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat over his comments on China during the organisation’s Vijayadasami celebrations.
“Deep inside, Mr Bhagwat knows the truth. He is just scared to face it. The truth is China has taken our land and GOI & RSS have allowed it,” Rahul tweeted.
Bhagwat on Sunday said India needs to grow bigger than China in terms of power and scope.
Speaking at the RSS’s annual Vijayadasami rally, which this time was limited to an indoor event attended by 50 swayamsevaks (volunteers) due to Covid-19 guidelines, he said the world knows that country’s (China) expansionist designs.
Urging India to be militarily better prepared against China, he added: “China was shocked at Indias response to its intrusion. India needs to grow bigger in power and scope than China.”
“China encroached on our borders amid the pandemic,” Bhagwat said citing Taiwan and Vietnam as examples of the Chinese expansion plans.
