Chennai: Madras High Court Chief Justice Amreshwar Pratap Sahi, who was admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital with cough, drowsiness and discomfort, has tested positive for Covid-19.
Doctors said his condition is stable. According to a senior doctor of the hospital, the Chief Justice had symptoms of Covid-19 and a CT scan showed 40% lung involvement. Swabs were lifted and sent for Covid-19 testing.
On Thursday, Justice Sahi told doctors that he had been coughing for the past couple of days. Doctors said the 61-year-old had undergone a series of tests including an RTPCR for Covid-19 and CT scans. “His vital parameters are stable,” doctors said.
