TNCC chief Alagiri tests positive for Corona, hospitalised

Chennai: Tamilnadu Congress Committee (TNCC) President K S Alagiri has tested positive for Coronavirus and was admitted to a private hospital.

A statement issued by TNCC asked all those who were in contact with him to get tested for Covid-19.

It may be recalled that Alagiri had accompanied AICC in-charge Dinesh Gundu Rao last week, to meet DMK president M K Stalin and other leaders.

Later, the former Lok Sabha MP, also participated in a party meeting, that was convened, to chalk out a plan for the upcoming Tamilnadu assembly polls.

Meanwhile, the State registered 1,320 positive cases on Sunday, with Chennai city accounting for 346.
