Buzz is that Trisha plays the Chola Princess Kundhavai in Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan.
The actress posted a pic of her reading the epic Ponniyin Selvan written by Kalki on Instagram with the caption round 2. The film also boasts an ensemble of actors including Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Sarathkumar, Parthiepan, Prakash Raj, Nizhalgal Ravi, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Mohan Raman.
Produced by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies, Ravi Varman is cranking the camera for the film and Rahman is composing the music.
Mani Ratnam is planning to release the first part of the film by the end of this year or early next year.
