Chennai: With the existing lockdown set to end on 31 January, Tamilnadu Chief Minister is meeting health experts and district Collectors on 29 January.
According to reports, the Chief Minister will decide on providing more relaxations in the next phase of lockdown.
It may be noted that schools in the state re-opened on 19 January for classes ten and twelve with all SOPs in place.
Also, most of the earlier restrictions have already been lifted across Tamilnadu, except in containment zones.
The last meeting was chaired in December last, when the administration discussed ways to prevent a second wave of infection and the new strain in UK.
It is expected that in the 29 January meeting, experts will discuss the consequences of resuming classes for college students of all years.
However the possibility of re-opening schools for all classes is ruled out, it is said.
