Chennai: The Chennai Poets’ Circle (CPC) conducted its annual Seminar through zoom platform and launched its anthology ‘Efflorescence 2020’ in the presence of IIT Madras professor S P Dhanavel.
Speaking on the occasion, Dhanavel, through his ppt presentation ‘Life is Poetic’ stated: “Poetry springs from personal pains and sustains itself through the pain of others. It is powered by tension, maintained by pretension, and anchored by truth.”

The Chennai Poets’ Circle (since 2003) has been spreading its wings as a non-profit, non-sectarian and non-political literary body of individuals who are united for the sheer joy of sharing Indian Poetry in English, empowering others in this journey, even as they continuously endeavour to evolve into better writers, a press release said.
Efflorescence 2020 has contributions from 84 poets pan India and overseas, with participants aged 14 to 80+ from diverse academic and professional backgrounds.
Chennai Poets’ Circle chairman Thirumeni welcomed the gathering.
