Chennai: Amid much expectations, DMDK president Vijayakanth today held meeting with the party functionaries to discuss alliance for the upcoming Assembly elections.
The party’s coordinators for the 234 constituencies, district secretaries and zonal secretaries took part in the meeting held at the party headquarters at Koyambedu.
DMDK contested in the Lok Sabha elections as part of the AIADMK alliance. However, things do not seem to be smooth between the two parties.
DMDK treasurer Premalatha Vijayakanth even said that DMDK was not given proper respect by AIADMK and added that the Vijaykanth-led party will not hesitate to contest alone in the election.
