Chennai: Asian-Arab Chamber of Commerce (AACC) has established its South India office in Chennai to connect more the trade and industry in the south with the Arab and Asian countries and expand their businesses.
According to a press note, it is also to provide a host of trade related services to members by the regional office.
India Cements vice-chairman and managing director N Srinivasan was the guest of honour at the event.
It was attended by Yerlan Alimbayev, Ambassador of Kazakhstan, Consul General of Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, S Krishna Kumar, chairman of AACC, R L Kannan, national director, South Asia and Goa, AACC, diplomats and other dignitaries.
Terming the opening of AACC’s new India office as an importance milestone in improving India’s trade with Arab and Asian Countries, Srinivasan said history has shown that trade and commerce are powerful and strong in improving the relations between the countries.
