Chennai: The seat sharing talks between DMK and its allies was held in the Arivalayam today.
General secretary of Indian National Congress Randeep Singh Surjewala, former Kerala CM and senior party leader Oommen Chandy, the Congress’s Tamilnadu incharge Dinesh Gundu Rao and TNCC president K S Alagiri represented the Congress.
DMK’s general secretary S Durai Murugan, leader of DMK parliamentary party T R Baalu, M P Kanimozhi were present on behalf of the DMK. Sources said that the DMK leadership was keen on contesting in more seats this time. Hence, the party is expected to parley with its allies to convince them to settle for lesser numbers of seats.
