Uttarakhand political crisis: CM rushes to Delhi

Trivendra Singh Rawat

New Delhi: The political turmoil which began in Uttarakhand on Saturday continues with Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat rushing to Delhi cancelling his previously-announced engagements in Gairsain and Dehradun.

Speculation is rife that the BJP is mulling political changes in the State as several Ministers and MLAs have expressed apprehensions over the working style of Rawat.

Reports said at least 10 BJP MLAs, including four Ministers, are camping in Delhi.

A section of state leaders are reportedly miffed with Rawat’s leadership and are of the view that the party’s electoral prospects under him may not be very bright.
