Chennai: Doctors treating DMK general secretary Durai Murugan have said he is stable with ‘no cause for concern’.
In a statement, Dr Ilankumaran Kaliamoorthy, CEO of Rela Hospital, said, “Durai Murugan tested positive for Covid-19 and he got admitted at Rela Hospital for further medical investigations and close monitoring.”
He added: “He is very stable now with no cause for concern and a panel of doctors is closely monitoring his parameters and health condition”.
Durai Murugan, who is the party candidate from Katpadi, tested positive for the novel coronavirus recently.
Durai Murugan, who is 83 years old, was actively involved in the party’s campaign in the run-up to the 6 April Assembly elections.
