Mumbai: Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope has said people of the State need to mentally prepare themselves for an impending lockdown, and that the government would give adequate time for the residents to prepare themselves before the lockdown is implemented.
He said, “There will be prior information given to people before the lockdown is implemented. At this point of time all that I would want to say to the residents of the state is that they should mentally prepare themselves for a lockdown.”
Earlier, a Covid-19 task force chaired by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had met discuss measures, including imposition of a lockdown in the state, to break the virus chain.
A tweet from the CMO had then summarised: “In a meeting with the State Task Force, the Chief Minister discussed the availability of oxygen and beds, use of Remdesivir, treatment protocols, increase in capacity of facilities, imposition of restrictions and fines for violating Covid protocols.”
