Chennai: People from various walks of life have been greeting DMK president M K Stalin on his party’s victory in the recently concluded Assembly elections.
In his congratulatory letter to Stalin, the Prince of Arcot, Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali, said, ‘It was the will of Almighty Allah (God) that you and your Party should lead the destiny of the State of Tamilnadu.’
He added: ‘Tamilnadu has rightly chosen you to be our next Chief Minister to implement at a fast pace and efficient manner, till 2026, which shows your sagacity, wisdom and knowledge of what and how to do like a true leader like your lamented father, late Dr Kalaignar M Karunanidhi’.
The Prince expressed the hope that Stalin and his government to be sworn-in will play an important role for the preservation of secularism and democracy for peaceful co-existence of all fellow citizens, as enshrined in our Constitution of India and maintain perfect law and order in the State.
Ar Rm Arun, president, SICCI, said, ‘The Southern India Chamber of Commerce & Industry heartily congratulates Stalin on winning the Tamilnadu state elections with a decisive mandate.’
He added that the elections, in the background of the Covid Pandemic and its remarkable mandate have resulted in fuelling high hopes from the people and the industry.
CII Tamilnadu chairman Dr S Chandrakumar, said, ‘The new Government’s primary focus should be the economic development of the state, generating more employment opportunities and increasing new investments during the current challenging times . However , the new government would need to get to root of the current pandemic and take quick control measures and plan for a robust public health plan in the immediate future which is the need of the hour.’
