Chennai: Two and three-wheeler tyre makers TVS Srichakra Limited today announced its foray into the European market with its new range of Eurogrip two-wheeler tyres customized to meet the European rider’s needs.
The first product to be launched is “Eurogrip Bee Connect scooter tyres” which will be available in a basket of 40 different sizes in the coming months.
This is the first line of tyres launched after the setting up of TVS Srichakra’s Product Design and Development Centre in Milan, Italy.
We have developed a new and exciting range of tyres suited for the European roads and conditions, keeping in mind the needs of the European rider, Andrea Bianchi Milella, Marketing Manager, of TVS Srichakra’s Italian Centre, said.
Bee Connect is the first amongst many product launches planned for the European and international markets.
“There are more in the pipeline in the current fiscal year. A knobby product for off-road purposes and a street tyre for medium and big displacement motorcycles, both in Radial and Cross Ply construction are lined up for launch in the next few months,” Andrea said.
Already bewildered and chastised by excessive taxation and forced lockdowns, the breath of the transport sector is being further snatched by rising diesel prices, said Singh.
Petrol price on Sunday was increased by 24 paise per litre and diesel by 27 paise, pushing rates across the country to record highs and that of petrol in Mumbai to near Rs 99 a litre.
The increase led to rates in Delhi climbing to Rs 92.58 per litre and diesel to Rs 83.22, according to a price notification of state-owned fuel retailers.
Rates had already crossed Rs 100-mark in several cities in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra and with the latest increase, price in Mumbai too was inching towards that level.
