Chennai: Fuel prices continued to witness increase today. Price of a litre of petrol in Chennai went up by 23 paise per litre and was being sold at Rs 95.51.
That of diesel was hiked by 26 paise per litre and was being sold for Rs 89.65. Petrol prices breached the Rs 100 mark in Mumbai today after Rs 0.25 hike. The fuel prices were last raised two days ago on 27 May.
Petrol now costs Rs 100.19 in Mumbai, while diesel is priced at Rs 92.17, as per Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). In Delhi, people now have to pay Rs 93.94 for a litre of petrol and Rs 84.89 for a litre of diesel.
