Chennai: State Higher Education Minister K Ponmudi today said that students who have declared all pass in class 10 will be admitted to polytechnic colleges based on their ninth standard marks.
He said that a decision on criteria for engineering admissions will be taken after consulting Chief Minister M K Stalin.
He further said that admissions will begin soon. It may be noted that in the recent relaxations announced by the State government, schools and colleges have been permitted to be opened for admission process.
The Tamilnadu government promoted all the students without exam due to the coronavirus pandemic.
